The Cape Town Deep Sea Game Fishing season extends from October to April which is our summer season (ideal months for tuna) in the Southern Hemisphere, the Mozambique current and waters are blue with warm water temperatures reaching up to 24’C! In our winter season – April to July – the Cape’s own speciality snoek are found close inshore and in large numbers. With this wonderful climate… you are guaranteed to enjoy your fishing experience in Cape Town!
Our amazing fishing charter is called ‘Therapy 2 ’…
‘Therapy 2 ’ is a 28 foot Super Cat, running on two e-tech 140hp Suzuki motors. With moorings at Hout Bay and Simons Town, she operates deep sea and in-shore game fishing charters in the warm blue waters of the Indian Ocean up to 80km (50 Miles) offshore. The Skipper and crew are experienced and professional seamen with a lifetime of know-how in the ‘ways’ of Cape Towns Game-Fish. The Charters are fully equipped with the latest safety and navigation equipment which includes radar, ship-to-shore radio, VHF telecommunication, radio direction finder, echo sounder, full medical equipment, satellite radio comms and a life raft.
Parties of up to 4 can be accommodated. ‘Therapy 2 ’ caters for all anglers, and if required to do so – will leave the port before dawn and return at sunset! If it is your first time, we will make it a time to remember!
Our Excellent Rates:
- Our rates include fishing tackle, equipment and bait!
- All fuel costs are included
- Rates include a gilly (fishing assistant)
- Some drinks are supplied; no alcohol
- Up to a Maximum of 4 guests per trip
- Rates – R6500 per day (tuna fishing)
- Inshore Sightseeing / fishing – R3500 per day
- Half-day Fishing – R2500 per day
The time of departure and return can be arranged with the skipper.
Dave May is well experienced in Cape Towns sea conditions and fishing areas… and will ensure an enjoyable and safe outing!
